The bag decides who looks
Every second, the water rolls a shuffled bag of 14 slots. A fish that likes your lure family fills 4 of those slots; every other fish fills 1. The right lure family doesn't add luck — it takes four times the floor.
The one-in-three hook
When an interested fish reaches your lure, it bites on about 1 in 3 approaches and merely nibbles the rest. Keep the line wet — the same fish comes around again.
Senses and spooking
Fish see 30 m, gain +30% vision per level and swim +20% faster per level. Spooked fish back off — switch to a smaller rod or a fluoro line, exactly as the game's own tips say.
Ten minutes under the water
Every fish respawns 600 s after it's landed. A legendary spawn stays empty for 20 hours once you land its trophy size — see Rusty's trophy tales.
