The dock takes half
Sell at the dock and the buyer pays 50% of a fish's value, after a 5 s wait — the game's own sellValueRatio 0.5. Land the catch yourself and every coin is yours. The idle angler also burns real time per fish: ~3 s deciding tackle, 1.5–5.5 s fighting, 3.5 s holding it up, plus the walk back to the boat.
Water never empties
Spawns are deterministic — one fish per spawn point, respawning 600 s after it's caught. No weighting tables: every row at a spot gets fished evenly over time. Legendaries lock their spawn for 20 h once you land the trophy size — and come back bigger than your record.
