Idle income deep-dive
How dock sales are valued
After a 5 s wait, a dock sale applies 50% to the fish's already-rounded value, keeps at least the fish's minimum value, then rounds the result to an integer. Land the catch yourself and every coin is yours. The idle angler also burns real time per fish: ~3 s deciding tackle, 2–6 s across the model's three base fight stages, 3.5 s holding it up, plus the walk back to the boat.
Water never empties
Spawns are deterministic: one fish per spawn point, respawning 600 s after it's caught. There is no spawn weighting table; the actual catch mix depends on respawn timers, time windows and angler behavior. Legendaries lock their spawn for 20 h once you land the trophy size, and can return bigger than your trophy record, up to the 100% size cap.
Conditional mean coins per catch
These means assume catches are spread evenly across a spot's spawn entries. That is a modeling assumption, not a measured catch mix or a coins-per-hour estimate.
